Nishiki Tenmangu Shrine faces Nishiki Market, and it is a protective shrine that resides at the center of a popular tourist spot, Kyoto Shinkyogoku Shopping Street. It was named after a famous historical figure’s father, Sugawara no Koreyoshi. Then, it was moved to its current location in 1587.
