Enjoy cafe hopping in the hottest area for coffee in Tokyo

The Kiyosumi-Shirakawa area in Tokyo is becoming known as a hotspot for coffee. It is known for being a quaint, quiet area, but in 2010, Blue Bottle Coffee, a specialty coffee brand from the US, opened its flagship Japan store here. Since then, it became known as the place to go for coffee and roasters from all over the world has opened stores here. There are many cafes with their own unique styles. Enjoy a cup of coffee in a stylish space, buy some coffee beans, and talk to the baristas for a deeper coffee experience.

The cafe next to the roastery is filled with the comforting aroma of coffee beans, and each menu takes advantage of the unique notes of the beans. There are espresso drinks, drip coffee, lattes, and mochas. The shop is a renovated wooden warehouse. It’s a simple, comfortable, and relaxing space to drink some coffee. You can enjoy coffee and a meal in a nice space at iki Roastery & Eatery. This is the second shop of the popular cafe, iki Espresso. This shop was also a warehouse and has a unique vibe. The drinks here use fresh coffee beans from the attached roastery. They have espresso drinks like lattes and flat whites, and they have drip coffee as well. There are plenty of food options that are healthy and pretty like avocado toast and sandwiches. The interior is woodsy and calming. There is an artsy vibe that is unique to Kiyosumi-Shirakawa that makes it great for work and reading. It’s located on a path by the river, so take a walk and stop by for a break.

They use high-quality coffee beans that are roasted in-house, and their espresso drinks are made with unique methods. You can try their latte or flat white, and you can buy coffee beans and merchandise. There is a special menu item here that you can’t try anywhere else: coffee ice cream.
