Become one with the magical art! Enjoy an immersive experience at teamLab Planets Tokyo DMM
“teamLab Planets TOKYO DMM”, located in Toyosu, Tokyo, is an immersive museum with large art spaces and 2 gardens. When it first opened in July 2018, it was set to close its doors at the end of 2023, but it has been so popular that the timeline has been extended to the end of 2027! From the magical mix of light and water to seasonal flowers, you won’t be able to stop taking pictures here. It’s a popular spot for Japanese people and foreign tourists alike.
The facility is split into 3 main areas: Water Garden, Public Area, and Garden. In the Water Garden, you can experience art with your bare feet in the water. The koi fish swim and release light to create a beautiful, transient world for you to gaze upon. In the Public Area, there is an art piece that represents fire. The shape of the flames change when you stand on it. If you go near it with the special app, “Distributed Fire”, a fire will light on your phone and you can take the piece home with you. In the Garden, the ceiling is buried in orchids, which are reflected in the mirrored floors. Become one with nature while in the city.
At “Vegan Ramen UZU Tokyo” in the same facility, you can have a meal among the artwork. Enjoy vegan ramen, ice cream, and tea-based specialty drinks in the world of teamLab. You don’t have to have a teamLab ticket to eat here, so come by on your visit to the Toyosu area.
