Kyushu is also called ‘Onsen Tengoku (hot spring heaven).’ Out of the top 5 of the number of hot spring sources, three prefectures are located in Kyushu: first place is Oita prefecture well-known as Onsen prefecture, second place is  Kagoshima prefecture where more than 225 million liters of hot spring springs out per day, fifth place is Kumamoto prefecture where Kazokuyu (hot spring for family) originated. So, there are lots of nice hot springs such as Beppu Onsen with a variety of hot springs (Oita) and Shimabara Onsen where you can see the emerald green Ariake Sea (Nagasaki) and Haratsuru Onsen which is effective for making your skin smooth and beautiful. Why not come Kyushu again and again to visit all hot springs? Soak in an open-air bath while seeing a stunning view, and try Onsen foods made with steam.

夕日に照らされた九十九島(Kujuku Island illuminated by light of sunset)

Surrounded by the sea, Kyushu has many remote islands. It’s not an overstatement to say that Nagasaki and Kagoshima consist of islands. There are remote islands that you can take a day trip to from the mainland, so their unique cultures and local dishes will satisfy your heart and stomach even on a short holiday. In addition, they are instagrammable spots with superb views, such as Ikino Island which is famous for the approach to the shrine on which you can walk during low tide, Kujuku Island with 208 islands and Yoron Island having coral reefs called Pearl of the Orient. In addition, remote islands such as Sanuki Island (Nagasaki), famous for its approach only at low tide, Kujuku Island (Nagasaki) where 208 islands float, Yoron Island (Kagoshima Prefecture) where you can see the coral reef called the Oriental Pearl It is also a photo spot where you can see a precious superb view.
