“Fukutoku Shrine(福徳神社)” is enshrined Chuo-ku, Tokyo, surrounded by skyscrapers. It is located right next to ‘COREDO Muromachi’, and its red bright torii is especially eye-catching. This shrine brings you good luck such as the safety of your family and business prosperity, it’s famous as a spot that you can easily visit in Tokyo.

福徳神社(Fukutoku Shrine)

Fukutoku Shrine has a long history, and according to ancient legend, it has been enshrined since Jogan period(859-876). It is also famous for visiting Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Edo period. After rebuilding 4 times, the new shrine was completed in the current Nihonbashi in 2014. Many people are visiting as ‘Inari( a Japanese deity of foxes and fortune) of Nihonbashi’ that has been continued since the Edo period.

You can receive a wide range of blessings such as the safety of your family, good health and business prosperity, it’s especially famous for having the benefit of winning the lottery among them.  Fukutoku Inari in Edo Period was authorized to sell a lottery named Tomi-no-Kuji (like the current lottery ticket), so it’s said that there are still benefits. When buying a lottery, we definitely want to visit Fukutoku Shrine.

In addition, the magnificent torii surrounded by scrapers is famous as a photo spot. It is a place where you can feel both the scenery unique to the city and typical Japanese nature and taste. Why not stop by the shrine when you visit Nihonbashi?
