“TOKYO SKY TREETOWN®︎” is celebrating its 10 anniversary in 2022. It consists of the 3 areas; a commercial facility ‘Tokyo Solamachi®︎’ and an office facility ‘Tokyo Skytree East Tower’, including TOKYO SKYTREE®︎. This time, we’re going to focus on Tokyo Solamachi®︎. Let’s take a look at the attractions that you can enjoy no matter how many times you visit and the latest store.

“TOKYO Solamachi®︎” was built under the concept of ‘new downtown style’ and its commercial facility has lots of attractions unique to the area. This facility is divided into 9 areas, and there are more than 300 stores with a variety of them, from long-established restaurants which have a history of over 100 years to restaurants where you can experience the new way to enjoy Japanese specialty products. In addition, inside the building also make you feel the downtown atmosphere. Please find these unique designs such as the shop sign using Edo Kiriko (江戸切子, cut glassware) as a motif, the ceiling with a gable roof and the planting reminiscent of street gardening.

Please check out the new stores that just opened in May 2022. The 1st is a sweet shop ‘fermented butter specialty store HANERU’ that uses the special butter from France. It has many attractive foods that make you hungry such as the most popular product, baked butter castella and sweets with the ultimate fresh cream. The 2nd is the first shop in Tokyo, ‘Bakery & Public PENNY LANE’. It’s the perfect store for adult holidays while they enjoy bread and alcohol.
