It’s just located a 5-minute walk from Fushimi Inari-Taisha, so please drop by there while you’re sightseeing.

Fruit confectionery Itoken was founded in 1864 and this shop has a good reputation for being delicious enough to be selected as a refreshment of JAL domestic first class. It has newly opened “Kaka Itoken” right next to Fushimi Inari-Taisha. It seems that the theme of various types of fruits in the shop is ‘fruit × confectionery’. There are a lot of cute foods such as the heart-shaped freshly baked apple pie and parfait topped with plenty of strawberries as the name ‘strawberry field’!

Among them, the most popular menu is ‘Kushi-wagashi’ (skewered Japanese confectionery), which is made by sticking a strawberry and 2 Japanese confectionery on a skewer. It consists of sweet and sour strawberry on the top, seasonal Japanese sweet in the middle, and a sweet bun with a fox face in harmony with Fushimi Inari on the bottom. The seasonal one in the middle changes with each season, so you’ll want to visit there many times.
