Sendai Astronomical Observatory’s “Cosmic Candies” are popular sweets with planetary motifs

Sendai Astronomical Observatory is a popular place to experience the universe. There is an impressive planetarium that makes you feel like you are in outer space and an exhibition room where you can enjoy learning about the universe through models and videos. The Hitomi Telescope, with a 1.3-meter diameter, one of the largest in Japan, is also available. You can experience space with these state-of-the-art scientific facilities. Additionally, you can purchase Cosmic Candies with motifs of the earth, moon, nebula, and star clusters at this place. Earth Candy, for example, features realistic images of the Earth from NASA. You will get a worthy message from this candy, “Eat it while tilting it at 23.4 degrees, the tilt of the earth’s axis.” Before you eat, take pictures of those candies that look like actual planets floating in deep blue outer space.
