Kujukushima Islands in Sasebo, Nagasaki’s northern city, contain a gorgeous natural wonder that travelers to Japan must see. The area, designated as the Saikai National Park, boasts over 200 small islands, each with unique scenery. These intricate coastlines and natural conditions create thriving fishing grounds, allowing visitors to enjoy the freshest seafood and leisure activities. Enjoy the unspoiled beauty and feel the blessings of nature with your whole body. We highly recommend exploring three spots.
Take in the mesmerizing beauty of over 200 islands from atop “Kujukushima Park”
Kujuukushima Park is a new viewing spot with many island views established in 2021. It offers breathtaking scenery of Japan’s beautiful ocean and islands from multiple observation points. To start your adventure, climb to the top of a vast grassy “Viewing Hill” and enjoy the 360-degree panoramic landscape. Blue islands and emerald-green sea get together to create a spectacular sight. As the day draws in, make sure you stick around for dusk. The sea surface becomes golden and beautifully colored with gradations that will take your breath away. While you’re there, don’t forget to take a picture in front of the monument shaped in the letters of Kujukusihma. Furthermore, free parking is available.
