Savor the Exclusive Sweet Plate of Kyobaum! – Kyoto’s Largest Confectionery Museum, Atelier Kyobaum

The largest confectionary museum in Kyoto, Kyobaum, is annexed to a factory, cafe, and shop. Visitors can learn how to make Kyobaum through illustrated explanations and displays of tools and enjoy a limited Kyobaum sweet plate. Kyobaum is one of the popular souvenirs in Kyoto. Baumkuchen has a beautiful contrast between the green layer made by blending matcha and sencha from Morihan, which was founded in 1836, and the milky white layer made from soy milk from Kyoto. This time, we’re going to introduce the new facility of Kyobaum, which opened in November 2023. The building is cute and stylish, with a round shape inspired by Kyobaum and decorated with matcha green throughout the entire floor. It’s truly photogenic!

This facility is characterized by being annexed to a factory. People can take a peek at the production process through a tour pathway installed in the factory, and learn about Kyobaum through illustrated explanations and displays of tools. In addition, there is a cafe where you can enjoy the sweet plate featuring Kyobaum made in the factory. Also, check the special menu that can only be eaten at this cafe.
