If you missed out on festivals this summer, there’s still time! On September 6th and 7th, the Kaminarimon Bon Odori Festival will be held near Kaminarimon in Asakusa. See some Bon Odori dancing and beautifully painted lanterns. Enjoy Kaminarimon in a way you’ve never seen it before.

he Kaminarimon Bon Odori Festival is held every year at the beginning of September in Asakusa. The venue is decorated with lanterns painted with beautiful traditional Japanese art. There are raffles and Bon Odori performances. Akita Prefecture is known for their traditional Japanese lanterns. This festival is the only place you can see them outside of Akita Prefecture. End your summer with the beautiful sight of Bon Odori dance and magical lanterns.
