Experience German Culture and Beer at Oktoberfest 2025!

This fall, beer lovers are in for a treat once again—the much-anticipated Oktoberfest 2025 returns to Toyosu, Tokyo. First held in 1810 in Munich, Germany, to celebrate the marriage of Crown Prince Ludwig and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen, Oktoberfest has grown into one of the world’s most famous beer festivals. Every year from September to October, Munich hosts this historic event, attracting visitors from all around the globe.

In Tokyo, the festival will run for nearly a month, from Friday, September 19 to Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Seaside Deck of Urban Dock LaLaport Toyosu. Against the backdrop of Tokyo Bay, guests can soak up the festive atmosphere of Germany. A wide variety of German beers will be served, including the rich and aromatic Festbier, specially brewed in Munich for the occasion. Visitors can also enjoy classic German fare such as sausages and other traditional dishes.

Opening hours are 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekdays, and 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekends and holidays. The festival will take place rain or shine, though it may be canceled in severe weather. Soft drinks are available for children and those who prefer non-alcoholic options.
