Open until the end of September 2021! “Ginza Sony Park” Full of Artworks and Green Plants
When you visit Sukiyabashi Crossroads where Tokyu Plaza Ginza and Hermes Ginza Store are located, why not stop by at “Ginza Sony Park (銀座ソニーパーク)” while taking a break in the middle of shopping? It will be closed at the end of September 2021 because of construction. Those who have been there or haven’t, witness its final look!
“Ginza Sony Park” is a park consisting of 5 floors from 1st floor above ground to 4th basement floors. Originally, there was ‘Sony Building’ which had been loved as Ginza’s landmark since 1966. It was demolished for renewal, and Ginza Sony Park opened in August 2021. However, this park will be closed at the end of September 2021 because the construction will start in October 2021.
The park’s concept is ‘Ever Changing Experimental Park’. On the above-ground floor, many plants are planted including green covering the wall, and they make us enjoy its seasonal scenery according to the concept.
On the other hand, over 50 events were held on the basement floors. Currently, ‘Sony Park Exhibition’ is held until 30th September. Under the theme of 6 fields in which Sony is currently engaged such as games and music, the playful events are held by 6 Japanese famous artists. By the way, you can also find unique cafes and restaurants and an exhibition hall for promoting local products product with additive-free food.
