A Walking Route to Visit Kyoto City That Makes You Feel Spring with Plum Viewing Spot, Seasonal Kyoto Foods Until The End of March

Japanese apricot blossom is a flower that heralds the arrival of spring. There are many plum groves in Kyoto City, and plum viewing has become popular as a tradition from winter to spring. You Can Enjoy Viewing Red and White Plum While Walking The Approach “Chisyakuin Temple”

“Chisyakuin Temple”(智積院) has attracted many Ume plum lovers as an Ume viewing spot. It is a traditional temple with the Chisan School of Shingon Buddhism. The precincts are spacious, and people enjoy viewing shiny and deep crimson plums and pretty white plums with elegance in various places. Especially, the left and right sides of the approach stretching to the main hall that enshrines the principal image are planted with many plum trees. When the full bloom, you can walk around the precincts while enjoying a view like a red and white curtain colored with plums. In the main hall, Goshikimaku (five-color curtains) in white, yellow, green, and purple are attached to the walls and It is also recommended to take photogenic pictures of plums on the back of the curtains. Many Ume trees are planted at the back side of the main hall, so please stop by there after worshipping.

You can enjoy colorful cuisine that brings out the best ingredients by the chef trained in a famous Italian restaurant using Kyoto vegetables. In addition, they use the selected tableware which matches each dish and allows you to enjoy them even visually. At the lunch time, they offer a set-only course. As an example, the course comes with 2 appetizers, pasta, main dishes, desserts, and coffee and tea. Inside the restaurant lines up custom-made chairs and tables, and there are counter seats on the 1st floor overlooking the courtyard, table seats on the 2nd floor with a red carpet and soft downlights, as well as private rooms that can be used by 4 to 8 people.
