Negawa Green Road is a 1.4-km-long walking path along the river. The road area has four zones, A to D, and each unique scenery will delight visitors. In Zones A and B, you can listen to the river sounds and view blooming pink flowers on both sides. Zones C and D feature wider paths. The areas allow you to walk through tunnels lined with cherry blossoms because the branches are bending. Sitting on the lawn and viewing the cherry blossoms is also a tasteful and enjoyable experience. The best cherry blossom period is expected from late March to early April.

Witness the majestic beauty of the tall cherry blossom trees at “Kanda Myojin Shrine”

The size of each tree characterizes the cherry trees at Kanda Myojin Shrine. These trees that continue to grow along with the long history of this shrine are thick-trunked, tall, gorgeous, and powerful. We usually see cherry blossoms here from late March to early April. In addition, the shrine pavilions on the grounds create a solemn atmosphere with the “Gongen-zukuri” style. Therefore, visitors can admire the beauty of the shrine and the cherry blossoms at the same time. Enjoy the beautiful harmony of the lovely pink of the Somei-Yoshino cherry blossoms and the vermilion of the shrine pavilions.

Mizuno-Hiroba Park has been a popular place to relax for residents. This park has three areas, but we recommend the west side area for viewing the cherry blossoms, where you can stroll along the canal pathway. In this area, famous Somei-Yoshino and Oshima Cherry blossoms are lined with bright white petals and a sweet fragrance. You can enjoy the gentle aroma of the blossoms shining against the blue water’s surface. It is quiet enough to enjoy the flowers in peace. The best time to see the cherry blossoms here is supposed to be around the beginning of April. However, the blooming period is as short as one week. You should check the blooming status before you visit.
