KURKKU FIELDS is centered around sustainability, so you can learn a lot. Enjoy the weekend with your family.
KURKKU FIELDS is a “sustainable farm & park” where you can enjoy “agriculture”, “food”, and “art”. “Sustainable” comes from their involvement in creating a lasting environment. They do this by reusing waste and materials, growing environmentally-friendly produce, producing solar power, and so on. In the restaurants, you can have fresh, KURKKU FIELDS vegetables and cheeses, or you can buy sausages that use meat from animals that would normally be exterminated. You can enjoy food like this that is kind to the environment. You directly experience reducing waste and honoring the living things we eat, so it’s great for children to learn about food. In addition, there are several art pieces placed all over the grounds. With pieces from artists like Yayoi Kusama and fun areas to play in nature, why not take some pictures or gaze at the artwork? Come make some springtime memories with your family.

Stimulate your senses with art! Discover “kawaii” with Sebastian Masuda’s art
At KURKKU FIELDS, you can find art in nature. Many of the pieces come from unique and magical worlds, so children will be drawn to them. They get easy access to the world of art. One of the pieces we want to tell you about is the “Gaping Hole Secret” (ぽっかりあいた穴の秘密). It was created by the artist that founded the “KAWAII” culture of Harajuku, Sebastian Masuda. Inside, it is packed with countless sparkling decorations. There is an open ceiling, so you can see the sky. You might feel strange, like you wandered into a storybook. Simply indulge in the “kawaii” of it all and take pictures or think deeply about the meaning behind the piece. There is more than one way to enjoy it. How about exploring the world of Sebastian Masuda?

Surround yourself with nature and enjoy a barbecue of natural ingredients
There are several restaurants and shops in KURKKU FIELDS, but we recommend a barbecue for those who really want to relax. A barbecue at KURKKU FIELDS includes meat and fish from Chiba prefecture, and fresh vegetables and herbs grown within the grounds. Many of the products are organic, so not only can you enjoy the natural goodness of the food, you don’t have to worry about what you are eating. To reduce food waste, the menu was created with the environment in mind, so you can learn about your food, too. The staff members get everything set up, so it’s easy for people with children to go. Anyone can barbecue, so even those who don’t normally cook can enjoy cooking with everyone else. Have a wonderful weekend with some delicious barbecue.
