You can enjoy spring to the fullest in Nijo Castle at the “Nijo Castle Sakura Festival 2024”. At Nijo Castle, there are 50 different types of cherry blossoms from early-blooming to late-blooming ones. There are about 300 trees, and you can see various cherry blossoms for around a month.
During the day, there will be many noteworthy events. There will be a quiz hunt and cultural events for children and adults, so it’s perfect for a family outing, too. There are plans for food trucks to come out, so maybe you can enjoy Kyoto delicacies as you watch the cherry blossoms. We also recommend you take a walk and go inside the Ninomaru-Goten Palace which is a registered national treasure. Japanese shoguns have stayed here, so there’s a certain air about it that you want to experience. Kyoto is packed with tourists in spring, but this will be a paid event, which means you can have a relatively relaxed time here. With the castle and cherry blossoms as your backdrop, why not take pictures full of Japan’s charm?
