This Godzilla statue from Shin Godzilla is a new landmark in Hibiya, Tokyo’s Hibiya Godzilla Square

Hibiya Godzilla Square was born with the renewal of Hibiya Chanter, a shopping mall in Tokyo. Hibiya has many local theaters, so this space was created to present Hibiya as a city of cinema and theater. Godzilla reigns over the center of the square. This 3-meter statue is based on the Godzilla from the 2016 film, Shin Godzilla. It’s smaller compared to the Godzilla head at Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, but it is known for its craftsmanship and realistic textures. Also, you can take pictures from the front, sides, and at any angle you’d like. Since it’s in the city, you can see it from inside buildings as well. At night, it’s lit up and becomes more magnificent. You can really feel the Godzilla-ness of it all.
