“Kazegashira Park” is located on Mt. Kazegashira overlooking Nagasaki Port. Halfway up the mountain, there used to be ‘Kameyama Shachu’ which was Japan’s first company founded by Ryoma. So, a bronze statue of Ryoma directing a keen look at Nagasaki port stands in this park. It is also popular as a famous place for cherry blossom viewing in spring and hydrangea viewing in early summer. From 22nd March to 2nd April, ‘Kazegashira Park Cherry Blossom Festival’ is held. 250 Yoshino cherry trees will be in full bloom, and at night, you will be able to enjoy cherry blossoms illuminated by paper lanterns in the background of a fantastic night view that is recognized as one of the world’s new top three night views.
