“Art Rink” allowing you to enjoy skating with seeing cute arts and a retro view
Located in Yokohama Minato Mirai 21 district, “Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse” is a historical building built during the Meiji and Taisho period, and now used as a shopping complex. In the open space between building 1 and 2, “Art Rink” is being held until 16th February.
This year marks the 15th year of this event, and Wisut Ponnimit, the creator of the popular character ‘Mamuang-chan,’ supervised the creation of the skating rink. You can meet pop and heart-warming artworks drawn under the theme of “SWEETS ICE RINK.” At night, you can also enjoy skating while seeing illuminated Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse.

Explore the deep-sea world of 6,500m under the sea created by brilliant color light in “OCEAN BY NAKED – The Deep Sea Illuminated”
“OCEAN BY NAKED – The Deep Sea Illuminated” is an interactive digital art exhibition using various technologies such as projection mapping, fragrance and music. In short, you can enjoy this event with your five senses. 8 areas in the venue allow you to feel like you’re diving deep into the sea and going through the waves to come back to the land. On the way, there are plenty of highlights such as an undersea tunnel, a colorful jellyfish art wall whose colors are mixed when you touch and spectacle shows performed by a school of light fish. Besides, we also recommend that you participate in workshops and have a relaxing time at a cafe or bar with the theme of the deep-sea world. Why not experience the beautiful sea world where reality and fantasy are mixed?

Illumination event “Mystical Island” unique to the aquarium, where animals and countless light become one
‘Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise,’ one of Yokohama’s popular leisure spots, is holding an illumination event “Mystical Island” under the theme of the sea world brilliantly shining now. When it gets to 4:00 pm, light sculptures in the shape of dolphins, whales, polar bears, penguins and so on are lit up and color the whole island. To our surprise, the biggest sculpture is about 4 meters tall. Besides, there are also spots draped in sparkling light, such as a light tunnel with a length of about 100 meters, a huge octagonal ‘Brilliant Tree’ floating in the air. At some spots, you can find camera stands and meet the staff that takes a photo of you for free. Moreover, ‘LIGHTIA,’ a night show performed by sea animals, is must-watch. How about enjoying the show full of surprise and excitement which uses the latest technology including video, sound and light?
