Originally operating as a druggist in Kyoto, “TOKYO KYUKYODO” is an old-established stationery store with over 350 years of history. In the early 1700’s, they focused on a good aroma of wood which is one of the main ingredients of medicines and started to produce incense sticks. From then, their history as KYUKYODO, where we can always get high-quality incense sticks and Washi (Japanese paper), stationery and so on anytime, began. Based on the philosophy of ‘To protect and cultivate Japanese traditional culture,’ it seems that they improve their original goods made by artisans who support traditional industries in accordance with the times. Each item with playfulness makes your daily life more exciting, not to mention they are easy to use. In addition, it’s also attractive that all staff has a wide range of expert knowledge.
