A Guide for couples traveling to Rinku Town: 3 must-visit spots with romantic evening or night views created by sea, plants and airplanes

“Rinku Town” is located on the opposite shore of Kansai International Airport and faces Osaka Bay. Because of its great location, it has lots of spots with stunning views created by sea, plants or airplanes flying in the sky. This time, we’d like to suggest a romantic itinerary for couples, which allows you to see superb evening or night views.

Take photos of the horizon where the sun sets and airplanes in the sky while sitting on the white beach! -The sacred place for couples “Marble Beach”

Extending for about 900 meters along the Rinku town coastline, “Marble Beach” has a beach made of white marble gravel and green pine forests behind it. On a clear day, Osaka’s popular tourist spots including Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Awaji Island show up far away. Why not visit here before sunset as a starting point for your evening walk? Although Marble Beach gives us energy with refreshing scenery during the day, it changes to scenery with a calm atmosphere as the sun starts to set. Over time, the vermilion gradation that colors the sky changes, and the sun slowly sets over the palm forests of the adjacent Southern Beach. If the timing is right, the silhouettes of airplanes taking off and landing at Kansai International Airport may show up in the fiery sky. In addition, Marble Beach is also Osaka’s first spot registered as a sacred place for couples. There is a heart-shaped monument with the sentence ‘Always with you’, so it might be a good idea to propose marriage here.

Next, let’s head to “KU-ON (空音)” to eat delicious dishes! Rare plants collected by a plant hunter, Seijun Nishihata, are arranged in the store and around the all-glass terrace. Looking at the outside, you can see the illuminated fountain, 300-year-old olive tree and so on. Moreover, above your head, a glittering starry sky spreads out. While seeing such luxury scenery, you can enjoy Italian dishes made from carefully selected ingredients from Japan and overseas. Our recommendations are ‘Inunaki Pork Cutlet (犬鳴ポークカツレツ)’ using Osaka’s only branded pork and ‘KU-ON Pizza (空音ピザ)’ topped with salami, dried tomatoes and something like that.

You’re sure to be excited at planes flying over your head -”Kansai Airport Observation Hall Sky View” where runway light creates a night view like jewels

After dinner, how about visiting “Kansai Airport Observation Hall Sky View”? It consists of the main hall and the entrance hall. Our recommended spot is the deck with a bell on the 4th floor of the main hall. When you step into here, 360-degree panoramas are laid before your eyes. Depending on wind direction, you can see airplanes flying over your head. Besides, the countless runway light looks like jewels, and the bridge and Izumisano City, that are lit up, appear. The deck and bell are also illuminated, so go around here.
