Sasebo City recreated it while referring to the recipe written in the cookbook “Navy Cooking Reference Book” of the Meiji era. Its name is “Kaigun-san-no-Beef-stew(海軍さんのビーフシチュー).” Located along a shopping street called Rokuten-dori Street next to Sasebo Station, “Ohako (創作料理 十八番)” offers Beef Stew with a mild flavor by using plenty of heavy cream.
