“Grill Swiss Ginza Main Shop (グリルスイス 銀座本店)” whose red brick-made appearance and awning tent with red and white stripe pattern creates a nostalgic atmosphere. Pork Cutlet Curry was born here when the late Shigeru Chiba who was a player belonging to the Japanese professional baseball team ‘Giants’ asked them to put pork cutlet on curry. In those days, anybody didn’t have an idea of doing that, so it became popular soon. There are 2 types of Pork Cutlet Curry: ‘Ganso Katsukare (Original Pork Cutlet Curry, 元祖カツカレー)’ and ‘Chiba san no Katsukare (Mr. Chiba’s Pork Cutlet Curry, 千葉さんのカツカレー). Large freshly pork cutlets sits on top of the fluffy rice. Curry with a fruity flavor is made by boiling minced meat, onions, carrots, apples, ginger, etc. for 2 weeks until the ingredients disappear. It goes well with juicy cutlet full of meat juice.
