At “Umisora Park,” feel the sea and sky of Okinawa while looking at ‘Naminoue Shrine’

Chill at “Wakasa Kaihin Park”, a park with impressive two huge dragon pillars

“Wakasa Beach Park” (若狭海浜公園) close to Naminoue Beach is a park local often stop by after swimming for chilling out. It is also a place where you can get a glimpse of their daily lives such as children playing catch and senior citizens enjoying walking. Two dragon pillars with a height of 15m stand out as the park’s landmark. These pillars are memorial monuments showing the friendship between Naha City and its sister city, Fuzhou City in China, which have been mutually interacting since the time of the Ryukyu Kingdom. “Miegusuku Harbor” (三重城小船溜) is a place known as a meeting point for participants to various marine activities such as diving and whale watching.
