Opened in 2017, “GINZA SIX” is the largest shopping complex in Ginza. ‘Caretta Shiodome’ is a commercial complex which is directly connected to Shiodome Station on the Oedo Line. It’s also about 5 minutes’ walk from Shimbashi Station on the JR Lines and subway. In addition, this commercial complex is connected to these 2 stations by the underground passageways, so you can easily visit here without getting wet! Anyway, the observation space “SKY VIEW” on the 46th floor is the must-visit photo spot, which has a fabulous view of Tokyo Bay Area from 200m above the ground. Under your eyes, there is ‘Hama-Rikyu Gardens’ surrounded by rich greenery, you can also overlook the Rainbow Bridge and the view toward Odaiba far ahead. “KITEE Garden” on the 6th floor of the commercial complex, ‘KITTE,’ is located a 1-min walk from Tokyo Station.
This is about 1,500㎡ open gardens with wooden decks and lush greenery lawns. You can see a red brick Tokyo Station building and the square in front of the station, which gives a quaint impression to the cityscape of skyscrapers. You’re sure to be attracted by the scenery with modern and classical atmosphere. When it gets dark, a romantic view, created by the illuminated Tokyo Station building and light given off by the surrounding building, spreads out. By the way, KITTE is a building that preserves or rebuilt a part of ‘Former Tokyo Central Post Office’ build in 1931.
