Enjoy Shopping and Lunch While Walking on “SUMIDA RIVER WALK” Connecting Sensoji Temple and TOKYO SKYTREE®

“SUMIDA RIVER WALK” over the Sumida River is a promenade where you can reach in the shortest time on foot from Asakusa to TOKYO SKYTREE®️. By going through this passage from the Asakusa side, you can take a walk while stopping by the commercial complex under the bridge ‘TOKYO mizumachi’ that lines with various cafes and shops and ‘Tokyo SKYTREE TOWN®’.

SUMIDA RIVER WALK which opened in June 2020 was made for the activation of Asakusa’s downtown. It open from 7:00AM to 10:00PM, you can get to TOKYO SKYTREE®️ in about 18 minutes on foot. The color of the bridge uses the same white as TOKYO SKYTREE®️, creating an area with a sense of unity. From the RIVER WALK, you can overlook not only TOKYO SKYTREE®️ but also the boats crossing Sumida River and the railroads that run nearby.

Also, halfway to the RIVER WALK, there is a glass floor with a total length of 160m. From the floor, it allows you to see the surface of the Sumida River that spreads out at your feet and you can also see the operating boats if the timing is right. In addition, the illustration of TOKYO SKYTREE®️ official character ‘Sorakara-chan’ is hidden somewhere on the bridge. Its also recommended taking a walk while looking for Sorakara-chan.
