“Horomitoge Observatory Parking Lot,” where you can see the shimmering nightscape of Sapporo and the Ishikari Mountains inside your car

‘Horomitoge hill’ is about 20 minutes from Sapporo City. The hill is a famous night view spot overlooking the city of Sapporo, so it has been registered as “A Night View Heritage of Japan” for its beauty. Actually, do you know there is a parking lot overlooking that night view? It is called Horomitoge Observatory Parking Lot. That is the only place where you can see the night scenery of the Ishikari Mountains, the thousands of stars, and the vivid neon lights of a metropolis with 1.96 million population. You can overlook those nightscapes comfortably while staying inside your car. Of course, it is nice to enjoy them without worrying about the temperature or weather. Additionally, there is a large lavender garden with about 5,000 plants in the surrounding area.
