‟Marunouchi BRICK SQUARE (丸の内ブリックスクエア)” opened in 2009 in the corner near Tokyo Station where MITSUBISHI Corp. head office building was located. It’s a commercial complex that gathers popular shops with high-sensitivity and unique items, including a chocolate shop purveyor to the Spanish royal family ‘CACAO SAMPAKA‘ and a world’s first specialty shop of A.O.P. Certified French Fermented Butter ‘ECHIRE MAISON DU BEURRE‘.
On the premises in the complex, there is a historical ‘Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum’ which restored the western-style architecture built in the Meiji period (1868-1912). In addition, you can find a small European-style garden ‘Marunouchi BRICK SQUARE Ichigokan Plaza’ full of lush greenery between that museum and ‘Marunouchi BRICK SQUARE’ which is a commercial complex with a massive atmosphere.
There is also a fountain square where various flowers including roses welcome you. This comfortable space offers relaxation time to office workers and visitors. The square also has many sculpture artworks by well-known artists such as Henry Moore. You will forget all your fatigue while looking at them.
