Experience Japanese Autumn by Viewing Fall Scenery Reflected on The Pond! －”Takaragaike Park” with Magnificent Nature in Kyoto City

One of the Gozan no Okuribi ‘Myo'(妙) and ‘Hou'(法) is the summer tradition in Kyoto. “Takaragaike Park” has these 2 mountains with these characters on the premises. This park consists of 8 areas centering on “Takaragaike” which was made as a reservoir in the Edo period (1603-1868). There are many ways to enjoy it, such as the ‘Children’s Paradise’where various playground equipment is installed, and the ‘Ikoi no Mori'(憩いの森) where there are facilities for the Kyoto Prefectural Police Heian Cavalry. Furthermore, you can encounter rare animals such as mandarin ducks and Japanese raccoon dogs, which are said to be endangered species.

We can enjoy autumn leaves at this park in the coming season. Trees are gradually coloring yellow and red around every November.
