Discover 3 Fresh and Delicious Seafood Lunch; Taste the Essence of Japan at Tsukiji Outer Market

The keywords “Tokyo,” “seafood,” and “fresh” remind people of “Toyosu Market” or “Tsukiji Outer Market.” Toyosu Market is closed on Sundays and holidays (including some Wednesdays), and restaurants are also closed. Therefore, choose Tsukiji Outer Market on Sundays and holidays. We are introducing three restaurants. They are open on Sundays and holidays for lunch, where you can enjoy rich seafood in a bowl of rice.

From Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel, you can take a Toei Bus to Tsukiji Outer Market in front of Tokyo Big Sight Station. Please get off at the stop called “Tsukiji Sanchome.”

This restaurant’s specialty is “Luxury Four Kinds Bowl” using valuable “Kamatoro,” a part of fatty tuna. The Kamatoro is as melting as the Otoro, but only about 40 slices are contained in one whole tuna fish. In addition to tuna, you can enjoy amberjack’s juicy texture, salmon roe, and sea urchin, which come from a wholesaler that has been reliable for over 100 years. The restaurant serves a lot of rice so that its guests will be satisfied with the quality and quantity. Enjoy it with a cup of “Rock Seaweed Miso Soup” that complements the seafood bowl. Counter seating is provided, so it is also suitable for solo diners.

This sushi restaurant has “Kaisen (seafood) Hitsumabushi,” a rice bowl filled with more than a dozen kinds of seafood, including tuna, sea urchin, salmon roe, and shellfish. Food journalist Hikomaro praised this dish as the “Jewel Box of the sea,” and it became very famous. Hitsumabushi can be enjoyed in three different ways and flavors in a single bowl dish. First, enjoy the seafood bowl with wasabi and soy sauce, then the sea urchin and rice together. Finally, you can eat it as a luxurious seafood chazuke with dashi broth. You can enjoy delicious seafood dishes with your family and friends as the restaurant has many tables in a spacious room.

The “original sea urchin bowl” overflowing with sea urchins on top is a must-try. This sushi restaurant serves the finest fresh sea urchins, carefully selected each season from Hokkaido and Russia. Many tourists from Japan and overseas come to enjoy the rich flavor of sea urchins without bitterness. You can enjoy their dishes in a relaxed and at-home atmosphere. We recommend shifting your visit time slightly from the peak lunchtime to avoid crowds. If you make a reservation, you will enter the restaurant smoothly.
