Summer in Yokohama is bursting with festivals—discover this season’s highlights!

The sea breeze along Yokohama Bay feels refreshing. Just south of Tokyo, Yokohama was the first Japanese port opened to international trade, so its streets blend Japanese and Western architecture. Modern high-rises now add a glittering skyline, making the city a top sightseeing spot. Each summer Yokohama comes alive with festivals that mix music, food, and a holiday vibe. We’ve hand-picked three standout events for you.
