Now being held in Roppongi! The biggest hands-on railway exhibition ever combining railway and art
Roppongi is making various efforts to become a new art base in Tokyo. The triangle created on the map by the three museums, The National Art Center, Suntory Museum and Mori Museum, is called ‘Roppongi Art Triangle’ (Atoro for short). Mainly in this area, events and exhibitions are frequently held, including a representative art event of Tokyo ‘Roppongi Art Night.’ This time, we’re going to introduce “A Railway Story in the Sky” which is being held at Mori Arts Center Gallery & Sky Gallery in Roppongi Hills Mori Tower.
“A Railway Story in the Sky” is the biggest hands-on railway exhibition ever which is held by collaborating with railway companies all over Japan. The highlight is ‘Tenku Station’ set up at Sky Gallery. When it gets dark, a large dynamic video of a train running through the starry sky is reflected on windows. Then, you can feel the fantastic and magnificent world of a railway with seeing Tokyo’s twinkling night view.
Besides, there are also enjoy valuable railway exhibits collected from all over Japan, a full-scale model of luxury sleeper train, Train Door Installation, original sweets of this exhibition, and more.
