The chewy texture and the way Udon noodles go down are irresistible! “Kagawa Ippuku Tachikawa” where the Udon chef trained at Michelin rated restaurant offers Sanuki Udon

香川 一福 立川店 (立川/うどん)

Reference from Tabelog “Kagawa Ippuku Tachikawa

‘Ippuku’ (一福) is a famous Sanuki udon restaurant with a long queue of udon lovers in Kagawa prefecture. And as the restaurant’s first outlet in Tokyo ever, it opened ‘Kanda Ippuku’ (神田 一福), a Michelin (Bib Gourmand) rated restaurant”, in 2015. “Kagawa Ippuku Tachikawa” (香川 一福 立川店) is managed by an udon chef who have trained at both ones. The features of the udon noodles here are its chewy texture in spite of the thinness of them and the smooth way they go down. Most-ordered menu item is ‘Curry Udon’ (カレーうどん), a collaboration menu with ‘Kitajimatei’ (北島亭), a French restaurant with one Michelin star located in Yotsuya. The curry which is made with the restaurant’s original fond de veau (deglazing) using A5 and A4 Wagyu beef and 10 kinds of vegetables is so rich and flavorful. You will enjoy the moderate elasticity of the udon noodles thoroughly coated with the curry soup. By the way, the soup stock is also provided in a separate bowl, so that you can adjust the thickness of the taste to your liking.
