“Komagata Bridge” Showing Us A Beautiful Night View with Fusion of TOKYO SKYTREE®️ and Sumida River
“Komagata Bridge(駒形橋)” with triple arch built-in 1927. It seems that the bridge was named Komagata Bridge because it’s near the ‘Komagata-do Hall’ of Senso-ji Temple. The place has been popular for seeing its beautiful Illumination, which is the collaboration between TOKYO SKYTREE®︎ and the bridge.
Komagata Bridge was reconstructed due to the reconstruction project of the Great Kanto Earthquake. The length of the bridge is about 150m, it has a blue-arched beautiful silhouette. In addition, it is also a feature that the structure is also unique: central span is lower load type and the side span on both sides is an upper road type. From the pier that is combined with the semicircular drainer and sidewalk balcony, you can view TOKYO SKYTREE®︎, Asahi Breweries Headquarters with a golden object as a landmark and Sumida River.
The light-up of the bridge is one of the illuminations performed on a total of 12 bridges such as ‘Azuma-bashi Bridge(吾妻橋)’, ‘Tsukiji Ohashi Bridge(築地大橋)’ and Chuo-Ohashi Bridge(中央大橋) over the Sumida River. Above all, Komagata Bridge, the reflection on the surface of the water is beautiful, and it shows the most beautiful appearance from dusk to night. The bridge is a famous photo spot because 2 shot photos of Komagata Bridge and TOKYO SKYTREE®︎ can only be taken here.
