“Kanshundo” is one of the representing Kyoto, which was founded in 1865. Although this store sells dry sweets Wasanbon, and also Daibutsu (Buddha) rice cakes which are made using traditional methods, the eye-catching one is the traditional Japanese sweet called Jo-namagashi (上生菓子). Craftsman beautifully shapes the plants that represent the four seasons. The sweets made delicately one by one look too good to eat.
