“Ghibli Museum, Mitaka” where the world of animation attract you

Ghibli works have been loved by both children and adults. Why not visit “Ghibli Museum, Mitaka” to be immersed in the wonder world of Ghibli? The Museum filled with playfulness of Hayao Miyazaki is like a maze and stimulate visitors’ curiosity. Exploring the museum, you can find view which you have seen in works of Ghibli, meet popular characters such as Catbus and Laputa Robot Soldier and something like that. In addition, it has different attractions from other museums’ because there are a room where you can learn production processes of animations, a library where many books recommended by Hayao Miyazaki are lined and so on.

“Sunshine Aquarium,” the oasis in the metropolis where various creatures live

サンシャイン水族館の空飛ぶペンギン(Flying penguins of Sunshine Aquarium)

“Sunshine Aquarium” is located on the rooftop of a 40m tall building, where you can not only meet creatures living under the water but also see beautiful scenery created by the sky and urban landscape. There are 3 exhibition areas in the aquarium: ‘Ocean Journey’ where countless fish welcome you, ‘Waterfront Journey’ where you can meet rare creatures living in rivers and lakes and ‘Sky Journey’ where penguins and sea lions live. Located in ‘Ocean Journey’ area, ‘Sunshine Lagoon’ reproducing the southern sea holds underwater performance events by divers and fish. In ‘Sky Journey’ area, you can meet sea lions swimming comfortably over your head. By the way, from 12th July, you can witness penguins looking like they’re flying in the sky.
