This time, we’re going to introduce one of the newest cafe & restaurant in Hamamatcucho, “BARTIZAN Bread&Pasta.” Reopened in February 2020, this restaurant specializes in bread and pasta that focuses on “healthiness” from ingredients to cooking methods. It has a stylish but casual atmosphere, so it’s perfect for various scenes such as lunch during work, dating and kitty party.

“BARTIZAN Bread & Pasta” is conveniently located just a short walk from JR Hamamatsu Station and Daimon Station on the Toei Oedo line. The simple design of its exterior with black and white gives a cool impression. On the other hand, you can feel a cozy ambiance created by rays of light shine through windows when stepping into here.

They make various insta-worthy dishes using mainly 2 things: ‘handmade bread’ made from domestically-produced flour and homemade yeast and ‘low hydration noodles (Fresca)’ with the chewy texture that was developed by a noodle maker gathering popularity from owners of ramen shops.

Especially, you should try the new menu ‘Sourdough French Toast’ that appeared in April of this year. They soak the bread ‘Bartizan Sourdough’ which is made only from water, salt and flour and has slight sourness into the slight sweet egg yolk, and grill it with their original grilling method to be tender. The moment you take one bite, you’re sure to be addicted to its melting texture. The rich flavor and mild sweetness of egg yolk bring out bread’s original flavor.
