“SALON BAKE & TEA” is produced by a brand of clothes ‘SALON adam et rope.’ This cafe allows us to experience French-style cafe time that is called ‘salon de te’ meaning enjoying leisurely tea and meals. When visiting here, you can meet parfaits with a hight of about 30 cm. Apparently, it uses Tarte Tropezienne, one of South France’s traditional sweets, as a motif. Especially, “Seasonal Parfait” whose ingredients change depending on seasons gather attention on Instagram. Its artistic appearance is made of over 8 layers: whipped cream and crumble, ice cream and jelly using plenty of seasonal fruits, Panna Cotta, etc. Your heart is sure to skip a beat just by seeing heart-shaped agar in a glass. Let’s enjoy textures and flavors that change as eating! In addition, it’s also a good idea to order ‘THE O DOR,’ one of French luxury black tea, with parfaits.

In 1964, ‘Tokyo Olympics’ was held as the first Olympics in Asia. “Coffee Seibu(珈琲西武)” was opened that year and 2nd shop did at Nishi-Shinjuku last year. Both shops have many interiors creating a nostalgy ambience, such as stained glass on the ceiling, red chairs made of velvet and lamps giving off yellow light on the wall. Visiting here, you should eat their large parfait called “Pudding a la mode.” On a big plate, about 10 kinds of fruits, which are changed depending on seasons, and yogurt, ice cream and so on are presented in a radial pattern. At the center of the parfait, their original chewy pudding made from fresh eggs is hided under lightly sweetened whipped cream with a rich flavor of vanilla extract. Did you dream to eat all of your favorite desserts at once when you’re a child, didn’t you? While eating Pudding a la mode, remember the old days.

Founded in 1975, “Coffee Aristocrat Edinburgh Shinjuku Main Shop (珈琲貴族エジンバラ 新宿本店)” creates retro but luxury space with windows through which sunlight is shining and brick-style wall, chandeliers and so on. Speaking of Coffee Aristocrat Edinburgh, the fragrant coffee extracted one by one with a siphon is popular. Then, what goes well with it is ‘Chocolate Parfait.’ Tower-like banana colored by whipped cream and chocolate souce stand out. When you look at the inside of a glass, you can find much vanilla ice cream, banana, chocolate sauce. On the top, savory and flffy whipped cream and seasonal fruits such as orange and pineapple are put. Moreover, taste changes as the melted ice cream and ingredients gradually mix.
