’Statue of Bodhisattva’ with a total length of 12m is a landmark! －Minamisenju’s “Entsuji Temple” with valuable ruins

Minami Senju is the next station of Asakusa Sta. on the Tsukuba Express Line. 10 minutes’ walk from the station takes you to the huge Buddhist statue. Your eyes should be caught by it.

Here is “Entsuji Temple(円通寺)” which was built by the warlord in 791, Sakanoue no Tamuramaro who was successful at the time. Besides, it is said that this historical temple was rebuilt by Minamoto no Yoshiie who was the eldest son of Minamoto no Yoriyoshi.
